Used Transmission from my own JOHN DEERE SCOTTS Model L1742 Rider Lawn Mower. This had been a well cared for mower all it’s life. A copy of the ID Tag and Bar Code is in the pictures that was on the mower. This comes off of a 17 hp Intek OMV Engine Mower. This is a standard transmission. Everything included is in the photographs. It may fit other models but it’s the buyers responsibility to due the necessary research to see if it fits other models. Pick the one that suits you best. Price Reduced John Deere GT275 Garden Tractor Mower with running FC540V engine

GT275 for sale with running FC540V engine. It is in running condition but cannot be used for normal work until a few repairs are made. About 10 years ago a connecting rod broke and ruined the top end of the engine. After finding and putting in a used engine, this one became my back up mower about 9 years ago. A few years ago the engine started leaking a little around the crankcase gasket. It was not a big deal to me due to only using it a few times a year. It never leaked enough to require any oil adding between yearly oil changes. It has now started leaking quite a bit of oil around the crankcase bottom gasket. I suspect that the gasket finally gave out. Because I have two other tractors, I really dont have a need for this one, and dont want to spend the personal time to pull the engine and replace that gasket. Here is what I know good and bad. Engine : In addition to leaking crankcase gasket, I think it is also leaking oil from the bottom crankshaft seal. You would normally replace that seal when you pull the engine to replace the crankcase gasket. The engine itself starts easily, and it does not show any blue smoke that would indicate it is burning any oil. No unusual noises from engine. I have a short video of the engine starting / running available to text to you. Body the hood, like all of these, gradually cracked and fell apart over the years. Frame, fender section, etc. Seat is there but in poor condition. It steers fine a little loose maybe. Lift arm to lift / lower deck or attachment works fine. Tires 3 have been plug repaired numerous times. One front tire new with no plugs. I have to add about a pint or so every year. Electrical battery good, starter good, no lights (no hood), PTO switch works, etc. No known electrical issues. This is a incomplete used Kawasaki FC540V engine from a John Deere 180. It is not currently running. It is missing the carburetor and air intake. It turns over freely and feels like it has good compression. Comes with the crank shaft bolt for holding on drive pulley etc. Only has 3 of the 4 bolts for holding the engine down. How about this pulley to put on your John Deere 1.5 or 3 HP engine. Cast Iron Flat Belt pulley with 10 inch diameter and 8 inch face. Bolts right up to the 1&1/2 and 3 hp John Deere Type E engines. I could probably rightly call it New Old Stock. It does look like it is New Old Stock. There are no signs that it ever was bolted up to anything. The paint all appears to be original. Part number is pictured. Or I can deliver to Findlay Ohio NOAMA tractor show or Portland Indiana Tri State Gas Engine show, “Lord Willing and the Crick don’t rise”.
