“SUPER SERVICE AWARD WINNER”. LIMITED EDITION NUMBER 323 OF 500. Issued in 1985 It Measures Approx. 3.75″ x 2.5″. Buckle is made of solid brass & has epoxy fill on front. VERY HARD TO FIND! These buckles were awarded to dealerships in the Portland Branch ONLY who proved to be more “customer responsive”. Of over the 200 dealers in this branch, only 14 qualified in 1985. This buckle was presented to the dealership’s General Manager, Service Manager & Parts Manager. Other employees of the dealership could obtain the buckles for a below cost price from the John Deere Company but NO dealership could order or receive more buckles than the total number of employees at that dealership. The Portland Branch NO LONGER EXISTS as it consolidated with the Minneapolis Branch in 1987. This makes them even more collectible! There were 3 editions made. 500 without an edition notation, a 2nd edition of 500 with the words “second edition” on back & a 3rd edition of 750 with the words “third edition” on back. Each edition was serial numbered by edition. There are two different blue buckles and some were made with different metals on the back.
